A Safe, Supported, and Judgment Free Space
As we begin this journey together, I want this book club to feel like a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space for every woman here.
We all come from different backgrounds and seasons of life, and many of the topics in this book may feel personal or emotional. My hope is that we can create a community rooted in compassion, respect, and connection.
A few intentions for our space:
Listen to understand, not to fix
Share only what feels comfortable
Honor confidentiality and privacy
Respect different experiences and perspectives
Give yourself permission to simply be presentThis is not about having the “right” answers. It’s about reflection, healing, growth, and reminding ourselves that we are not alone.
Thank you for helping create a space where women can feel seen, heard, and supported.
What to expect:
Each session will begin with a simple icebreaker to help us connect, followed by guided discussion prompts around the book and how stress, burnout, and nervous system health show up in our daily lives.
Leading up to our June meet-up, I’ll be sharing weekly journal prompts for personal reflection in preparation of our live discussion. Don’t worry if you can’t read the entire book, come as you are.This isn’t about perfection or finishing every chapter.
Looking forward to seeing you there. Please note there will not be a recording for viewing after our session, I’m looking forward to providing a safe and intimate space for deep connection.

From Engineer to Health Coach: How I Turned Chronic Stress and Autoimmune Chaos into Sustainable Energy and Balance—And How You Can Too
I used to wear “busy” like a badge of honor.
Long hours, high-stakes deadlines, disrupted sleep, and zero time for myself. That was just the cost of juggling it all and always stretching for the next opportunity, Until it wasn’t.
What started as stomach aches before every shift snowballed into Irritable Bowl Syndrome, hypothyroidism, anxiety attacks, stubborn weight gain, and eventually an autoimmune diagnosis. I was the classic “Speed Racer”—pushing through exhaustion, grabbing fast food on the run, and telling myself I’d rest “when things slowed down.”
Spoiler: things never slowed down.
My body finally hit the brakes for me.
That painful wake-up call became the spark for a complete transformation. I wasn’t satisfied with the Doctor’s solution of life time medication to manage my Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis symptoms. I knew in my heart, I could heal my body naturally. Over the next 15 years, I developed simple solutions that fit into my busy schedule growing a fast paced career and family to manage my weight and overcome chronic fatigue. I incorporated learnings from a year long Integrative Nutritional Health Certification and the same mindset principles for change I used to successfully transition the automotive industry to electric vehicles.
Today, I’m on a mission to share what I’ve learned, helping small business owners and women in tech who are managing everything, but not finding the time for their own health. With my simple 3 step detox system client’s are seeing the weight loss they dreamed of, beating chronic fatigue, and finding balance in their lives.My Journey: From Corporate Grind to True Balance
- 1997: Fresh out of Purdue with a Mechanical Engineering Technology degree, I landed at Ford’s climate control division. Weekends racing go-karts earned me the nickname “Speed Racer” from my team. I loved the fast pace… until the afternoon shifts, manufacturing quota pressure, and chronic stress triggered constant stomach issues and an Irritable Bowl Syndrome Diagnosis.
- Early 2000s: Climbing the ladder in Detroit automotive while renovating houses and earning my Master’s Degree. Late nights, poor recovery, and “sensitive stomach” symptoms I continued to ignored.
- 2008–2010: Silicon Valley startup life (hello, intense stress). Even with California’s fresh food scene and my new found love for vegetables, I felt sluggish, gained 20 pounds, and was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Anxiety attacks joined the party.
- The Turning Point: A failed marriage and my health crisis forced me to choose myself. Supportive friends introduced clean eating, kickboxing, time in nature, and real community. In just eight weeks, I dropped 15 pounds and felt like myself again. I carried that momentum even through the high-pressure years at Tesla launching the Model S, Model X, and Model 3.
What I wish someone had taught me back then:
Chronic stress, poor nutrition, neglected self-care, and disrupted gut health don’t just cause fatigue. They also lead to weight gain.
